Surfing Surf Club
The stretch in front of the Sunshine Beach Surf Club faces east and picks up far more swell than the Noosa points just around the headland. Peaks shift with the sandbanks, and on the right day it throws up punchy, hollow beach-break waves.
It is at its best early in the morning or on westerly winds, before the afternoon sea breeze arrives. Watch for rips, especially when the swell is up.
