Surf photos at First Point
Nobody has published a session at First Point, Noosa Heads, Queensland yet. If you shoot here, you would be the first photographer covering this break on SurfLink.
Surfing First Point
First Point is the most accessible of Noosa's famous right-hand points, breaking along the rocks at the eastern end of Main Beach where the national park begins. On a good swell it peels in long, forgiving walls that suit longboards and mid-lengths as much as shortboards, which is why it is one of the most photographed waves on the Sunshine Coast.
Because the bay faces north, it needs a solid east to south-east swell or a cyclone swell to wrap around the headland, and it is flat for long stretches in between. When it does turn on, expect a crowd and a lineup full of cameras on the boardwalk.
Finding your photos from First Point
Every SurfLink session is tagged with the date and the hours the photographer was shooting, so note roughly when you paddled out, your board and your wetsuit or rashie colour — that is usually enough to find your waves in a few minutes.
