User Data Deletion
If you would like to delete your SurfLink account and associated personal data, please follow one of the options below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1: In‑App Request
- Sign in to your account.
- Open your profile page (e.g. /user/<your_username>).
- Click Edit Profile → Delete Account and confirm.
- If prompted to re‑login for security, sign in again and retry the deletion.
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email from the address associated with your account to surflinkapp@gmail.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What Gets Deleted
- Your user profile document in our database (Firestore).
- Your authentication account in Firebase Auth.
- Operational logs may be retained only as legally required.
What Isn’t Deleted Automatically
Uploaded media and session content are not removed by the in‑app delete yet. If you also want all media and related content purged, please email surflinkapp@gmail.com after deleting your account, and include your username. We’ll complete the deletion promptly.
